Mistress of the Waterfall

1620. The Mayflower puts a colony on a coast that already belongs to something.

The Jorogumo has been waiting a long time for company. She kills without preference and without apology, she wears a chitin mask and red and black markings across her skin, and she is Penny's true daughter. Valeria is the one Penny took in.

Oxivius Soulstealer arrives on that coast a wandering beggar, a cannibal necromancer with four hundred years of appetite behind him. Both women have a claim on him and they want opposite things. One wants him to admit he is a monster. The other one sees a man who has not happened yet.

There is also a doomsday cult and the Book of Destruction, which is not a dark twin of the Book of Creation. It is the same book, carried out of a sixth reality that is collapsing, and the rot of that collapse came with it.
