The Druid of the Morrigu

A war goddess does not ask. She charms, she points, and she sends.

Arrivan, Owen and Tamera cross into Portland carrying the Morrigu's scythe and the Morrigu's instruction. Find the Baku. End her. None of them is told why, and one of them is not told everything. Arrivan's sister is Xlina.

Owen is a brewer. He is out of shape, he is not the fighter in this group, and he is the only one paying attention. What he works out, he works out four seconds too late to handle it politely. So he hits his best friend in the mouth and takes the scythe out of his hands, knowing exactly what the wielder's destiny is.

Pain. Then death. He takes it anyway.
